A superb haven of peace in the Auxerre countryside! I warmly recommend the Manor; attention to detail is a true religion here and the bedding quality is exceptional. A must-see and experience.
We came across this place completely by chance, while attending a nearby wedding, and it turned out to be a real discovery. The owners, Gérard and Pascal, are extremely charming, attentive and welcoming. From our arrival, we felt received with great kindness and much generosity. The manor is magnificent, warm and tastefully decorated. The cuisine is excellent and prepared with care. A word also for the lady who takes care of the manor, who is very kind and always attentive. We had the feeling of being hosted by friends rather than in a guesthouse. An address full of soul, where you feel immediately at ease. A very lovely encounter and a stay we will remember fondly.

We were very well welcomed by Gérard in his manor with spacious, all air-conditioned rooms (I mention this because it is not indicated on the booking service site). He was accommodating in every way and very flexible with timings. He arranged a restaurant and booked it for us (and it was a very good choice). The place is magnificent, well-kept and very quiet and the surroundings are very beautiful. A rare gem! I recommend it and will return.
Fantastic experience with Gérard (his loyal Figaro) and Yevonne during a holiday to enjoy Guédelon and the other activities in the region. Lost in a village, the house and the people are very welcoming, the breakfast is very good and the nights peaceful with quality bedding. We spent seven nights and time flew by. The welcome is very personalized and the owner is attentive. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent, served on beautiful tableware. One evening we dined on site and the owner prepared a wonderful four-course meal for us (starter, main course, cheese and dessert), preceded by a delicious aperitif and followed by an exquisite schnapps. The area is very peaceful and the heated pool is highly recommended.
What a joy to have stayed in this beautiful manor tastefully decorated, located in the countryside in a lovely region. The pool is very pleasant for resting and relaxing. The breakfast is quite complete with quality products! Special mention for our charming and very welcoming hosts.

As soon as you pass through the gate from another century, you already know you're going to have a wonderful time. Welcomed by Gérard and Pascal, our hosts, you immediately feel that sense of well-being that will stay with you throughout your stay. This place is not just magnificent, there is a magic at work and it is largely due to the kindness and great friendliness of the two magicians of the Manor, accompanied by Bobby and Figaro. And the region is really worth a visit, full of authentic villages and vineyards and fields of sunflowers as far as the eye can see.
My wife and I have been coming regularly since 2022! We love this place! If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing spot, this is it!
We have just returned from a delightful stay at the Manoir de la Croix Saint Louis. An extremely refined place, both inside and out. Lovely flowering garden, pool and numerous cozy chairs to sit in the shade or sun. The interior of the manor is really very pretty, with tasteful decoration in every room. The hosts are welcoming, knowledgeable about their region and give helpful advice. A guesthouse where you feel at home. Thank you ☺️

An exceptional experience, from June 15 to 17. We were very well received by Gérard and Pascal as well as by Figaro and Bobby, their two adorable little dogs. The décor is sumptuous and everything is arranged with the greatest taste. The candlelit meal is exceptional. The care and quality of the service are of rare finesse. If you want to experience true French arrogance and the owner's lack of overview, then this is the place for you :-) Rooms and surroundings really nice (perhaps a bit deserted) but truly pleasant and nicely furnished. However, many savings on small things like soap (discount soap) and no lotion in the bathrooms, no bin in the room. The place is run by the owner, assisted by two ladies who come to prepare breakfast and tidy the rooms every morning. They are really kind, but there is clearly a distance between the owner and (the servants) and we also felt that feeling after the first day. Whether that's because we don't speak French—or if we somehow offended the owner, we don't know. The website suggests there is a restaurant, etc. But it is really the owner who goes into his own kitchen and not much information about what you can order—and the feeling that it's better if you don't want anything! However, it must be said that the owner found and booked a restaurant for us that evening. Such a lovely place—but it is a bed and breakfast and not a hotel.
I stayed at this charming hotel for a friend's nearby wedding. A typically French experience, beautiful interiors. Be sure to book your dinner with Gérard. He is truly a chef and a host; he even offered to drive us to the wedding venue instead of taking a taxi/driving. A wonderful time and I highly recommend it.

We were won over by the calm atmosphere, the warmth of the welcome, the delicious food, the generous space and the comfort of the room. The hosts were attentive and available, and every moment spent with them was a true delight. We also appreciated the spacious layout of the house, offering many places to relax. We were lucky to stay with Gérard and Pascal for a few days and we must say it was a high-quality experience. From our arrival, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel at home. The conviviality in this guesthouse is truly exceptional. The quality of the services offered is also remarkable. Down to the smallest detail, the rooms are luxuriously furnished and well maintained, offering a pleasant place to rest after a day of exploring the region. Our stay was one of the most enjoyable experiences. We highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a stay that is warm, high-quality and full of friendliness.
An incredible and unmissable place in the region. Two hosts of rare elegance and kindness, with a touch of humor that we loved. The residence reflects them. The decor is refined and incredibly successful. Family memories, items found here and there, armchairs covered in designer fabrics, sofas you never want to leave. Gérard showed us the Manor, telling us the story of each room. Novelists, actors, political figures and people from the art world have stayed here. There is a soul in this house. We literally fell under the charm of our hosts and especially of the place. It's a feast for the eyes; every object is beautiful, the choice of furniture, the curtains… ahhhh the curtains, our favorite. Falls of silk taffeta from Frey, Fendi, and more! Everything is balanced, not ostentatious, not tacky, simply elegant. Breakfast is served in a lovely glass room overlooking the garden that could be called «the orangery». Silverware, porcelain from great houses… it's good and beautiful and very hearty. For dinner, by reservation, it also takes place in «the orangery» by candlelight for the romantic touch. And the cherry on the cake is that Gérard is a fine cook! So an explosion of flavors from start to finish. Several pretty outdoor lounges are available for reading or napping under a tree. The outdoor pool is superb and at 29 degrees. Outdoor furniture is provided to relax in the sun or under umbrellas. As you can tell, we fell in love with the place. Thanks to Pascal as well for his kindness, smile and humor. You can even play a game of badminton with Pascal; a court in the garden is provided. Be careful, he is very good! We had a superb weekend. The location is perfect for visiting the Château de Guédelon, Vézelay. The place is very quiet, the château is magnificent and superbly decorated and maintained. Possibility of table d'hôte. We dined on a superb beef bourguignon. The wines were up to the mark, the breakfast very hearty. In summary, everything was perfect, I will return very soon. Thanks to our host Gérard who knew how to welcome us wonderfully!
A big thank you to a dynamic duo who welcomed me to this incredible setting. The outdoor area is very beautiful and invites relaxation, for example in the sun by the pool. The interior of the manor is breathtaking; every room has thoughtful, precise decor that encourages lingering over the smallest details. Gérard took the time to give me a guided tour to share details of this world: a clever mix of family memories and a definite taste for the French art of living. I therefore recommend visiting this manor to add beautiful images to your own life catalogue.
